The Trouble With Blogs

December 21st, 2007

I once had a blog at dcypl.com, I wrote on it nearly every day for a while, but I got yelled at by some super sensitive hyper-legalist christians and it was all downhill from there. Fortunately, I got myself into another blogging venture, UrbanWorkbench, which is still going strong. This is where I write most frequently if you’d like to check it out!

Also at dcypl.com, I used to have quite a gallery of photos, but have since moved most of them to zooomr, which is much better.

You never know, I may start blogging here once again, but for the moment this is my placeholder, a memory of what I once said, and an inspiration to continue writing.

Thanks for reading, if you want to contact me, please use the contact form over at UrbanWorkbench.

Eucharist Sermon

September 9th, 2008

Earlier this summer I had the opportunity to preach at the Junction Church. Attached are the powerpoint and text of the sermon.

Preparing for and preaching a sermon is tough when you work a full time job, parenting, blogging and everything else that occupies our time. But it is so valuable to spend time contemplating one portion or concept from the bible and sharing what you’ve learnt or discovered with others.

Reading through the Bible

March 2nd, 2008

I’m busy.

But that doesn’t stop me from being a Christian, and I need to read the Bible. Lately I’ve been using the Northumbria Celtic Daily Prayers, but find that I really do need to read more. I’m leading a study through Romans at the moment too, and I’m learning lots from that.

Should I start the One Year Bible again? If I do, I’ll probably blog here a bit.
